Με την παρούσα πτυχιακή εργασία επιχειρείται η διερεύνηση και ανάλυση της ζωής και του έργου της μεγάλης στιχουργού του ρεμπέτικου και λαϊκού τραγουδιού, Ευτυχίας Παπαγιαννοπούλου.
Η εργασία ξεκινάει με μία ιστορική αναδρομή του ρεμπέτικου τραγουδιού και την μετέπειτα εξέλιξή του σε λαϊκό, εποχές κατά τις οποίες ξεκίνησε η Παπαγιαννοπούλου να γράφει και να πουλάει τους στίχους της. Η καταγραφή της ζωής της και τα γεγονότα που τη σημάδεψαν (Μικρασιατική καταστροφή, διαζύγιο, θάνατοι αγαπημένων προσώπων) έχει ως στόχο, τον ρόλο που έπαιξαν στους στίχους της και την κατανόηση των τραγουδιών που έγραψε. Μέσα από γνωστά και άγνωστα γεγονότα της ζωής της, καθώς και τα λόγια της ίδιας αλλά και οικείων της προσώπων, επιχειρείται η κατανόηση του «μύθου» που ονομάζεται Ευτυχία Παπαγιαννοπούλου και η παρουσίαση του τόσο σημαντικού έργου της, που σημάδεψε το ελληνικό τραγούδι. Επιπλέον, γίνεται μια βαθύτερη ανάλυση του κοινωνικού και πολιτισμικού πλαισίου στο οποίο βρισκόταν και δημιουργούσε η στιχουργός και την επίδραση που είχε στο έργο της.
With this thesis, I will attempt to explore and analyze the life and work of Eftichia Papagiannopoulou, one of the greatest rebetiko and folk song, songwriters in Greek history. The paper begins with a historical review of rebetiko, a kind of Greek urban music, and of its evolution to laiko, another kind of Greek folk music, in this, a time period in which Eftichia started writing and selling her lyrics. The recording of her life and the circumstances that shaped it (The Asia Minor catastrophe, divorce, death of close relatives) aimed to show the role the latter played in creating and understanding her lyrics. Through the known and unknown happenings in her life as well as her and her close circle's words, I will attempt to deconstruct the "myth" of Eftichia Papagiannopoulou and to present her important work which marked the evolution of Greek songwriting. In addition, a deeper analysis is made of the social and cultural context in which the lyricist was located and created, and the influence it had on her work.
