Prophecy and time in the Odysseyen
The purpose of my paper is to examine the prophetic discourse in the field of the narrative technique of the Odyssey. More specifically, I am interested in the proleptic, analeptic, internal, external, homodiegetic, heterodiegetic, intradiegetic. autodiegetic etc. character of the main prophecies of the epic. The process of prophesizing is a complex literary technique that allows the poet to show the multiplicity of the temporal aspects of the narrated events.en
