| heal.abstract | Η παρούσα Διπλωματική Εργασία με θέμα ‘’Οι Ελληνοїταλικές Σχέσεις κατά τη διάρκεια του Μεσοπολέμου. Η περίπτωση του Βομβαρδισμού της Κέρκυρας το 1923’’ έχει ως στόχο να σκιαγραφήσει τους μακραίωνους πολιτικούς και πολιτισμικούς δεσμούς της Κέρκυρας και της Ιταλίας και τις Ελληνοϊταλικές Σχέσεις κατά τη διάρκεια του Μεσοπολέμου, με κεντρικό σημείο αναφοράς τον Βομβαρδισμό της Κέρκυρας. Ακόμα, εξετάζεται το έντονο ενδιαφέρον των Ιταλών για την επικράτηση τους στη περιοχή της Ελλάδας και Μεσογείου, ύστερα από τη σύσταση του Ιταλικού Κράτους το 1861, καθώς και η πολιτική και κοινωνική κατάσταση στην Ελλάδα πριν από τον Βομβαρδισμό του 1923. Ακολουθεί μία σύντομη αναφορά στην άνοδο του Μουσολίνι στην εξουσία και στην εγκαθίδρυση φασιστικού πολιτεύματος στην Ιταλία. Επίσης, γίνεται λόγος για το χρονικό των γεγονότων της επίθεσης και κατάληψης της Κέρκυρας από τους Ιταλούς και της πολιτικής επίλυσης της Κρίσεως του καλοκαιριού του 1923. Τέλος, πραγματοποιείται σχολιασμός σχετικά με τον απόηχο του Βομβαρδισμού της Κέρκυρας στη τοπική κοινότητα και τη στάση των Κερκυραίων απέναντι στους Ιταλούς στα χρόνια μετά τον Δεύτερο Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο. | el |
| heal.abstract | This dissertation titled ‘’ The Greco – Italian Relations during the Interwar Years. The Incident of the Bombardment of Corfu in 1923’’ aims to outline the long – term political and cultural relations between Corfu and Italy and the political relations between Greece and Italy during the Interwar Years, which resulted in the Bombardment and Occupation of Corfu by Mussolini. The expansionist tensions of Italy over Greece and the area of Mediterranean Sea along with an overview on the Greek political and financial condition before the incident of the Corfu Bombardment are also examined. Furthermore, follows a brief overview of how Mussolini established his power and created a fascist state in Italy. Consequently, this dissertation offers a story – telling of the basic events of the Italian Attack and Occupation of Corfu and the final settlement and de- escalation of this crisis of the summer of 1923. Finally, there is an evaluation of the aftermath and the opinion of the local Corfiot community against the Italians in the years following the Second World War. | en |
