| heal.abstract | This study investigated the concentrations of persistent organochlorine pesticide residues, as well as selected heavy metals in soils from two important agricultural areas in Albania. All the samplings were carried out during the period January to October 1993. Among the determined compounds, DDT and DDE are present at the highest concentrations of 102 ng/g and 58 ng/g respectively. A slight pollution by Pb and Cd was identified. The content of heavy metals in the studied areas was under the critical values for plants, as cited in the literature. | en |
