| heal.abstract | Η διατριβή στοχεύει στην εξέταση της λειτουργίας των πολιτικών θεσμών των επιμέρους θεσσαλικών πόλεων κατά τον 5ο και 4ο αιώνα π.Χ. Στο πρώτο μέρος της διατριβής εξετάζεται αναλυτικά, μέσα από την επανεξέταση των γραπτών πηγών, η πολιτική ιστορία της Θεσσαλίας και των πόλεών από τους Περσικούς Πολέμους έως και την υπαγωγή της Θεσσαλίας στον έλεγχο του Φιλίππου Β΄ της Μακεδονίας, Στο δεύτερο μέρος, μέσα από το συνδυασμό γραπτών πηγών, δημοσιευμένων επιγραφών, νομισματικών στοιχείων και αρχαιολογικών δεδομένων, εξετάζεται η ύπαρξη και λειτουργία πολιτικών θεσμών στις επιμέρους θεσσαλικές πόλεις. Παράλληλα εξετάστηκε το ζήτημα της ύπαρξης του Κοινού των Θεσσαλών κατά την εξεταζόμενη περίοδο, ενώ ιδιαίτερη μνεία γίνεται και στην τυραννία των Φερών. Η μελέτη απέδειξε ότι κατά τον 5ο και 4ο αι. π.Χ. οι θεσσαλικές πόλεις αποτελούσαν ανεξάρτητους πολιτικούς οργανισμούς, μέσα στα πλαίσια του Κοινού των Θεσσαλών, το οποίο συνεχίζει να υφίσταται, αν και σε ορισμένες περιόδους υπολειτουργεί. Διαπιστώθηκε ότι οι θεσσαλικές πόλεις έχουν διαφορετικούς πολιτικούς θεσμούς και οργάνωση. Στις πόλεις διαπιστώνεται η ύπαρξη διάφορων πολιτικών οργάνων (βουλή, εκκλησία, ομάδες ή μεμονωμένοι άρχοντες), τα οποία φέρουν την ευθύνη της διοίκησης. Οι πόλεις απολάμβαναν πολιτικής ανεξαρτησίας, ως μέλη του Κοινού, ακολουθώντας συχνά ανεξάρτητη εξωτερική και νομισματική πολιτική. | |
| heal.abstract | The thesis aims to examine the functioning of the political institutions of individual cities in Thessaly during the 5th and 4th century BC. In the first part of the thesis, through the review of written sources, the political history of Thessaly and cities from the Persian wars to the affiliation of Thessaly in control of Philip II of Macedon is examined in detail. In the second part through a combination of written sources, published inscriptions, archaeological and monetary data, the existence and functioning of political institutions in individual cities is examined. At issue was the existence of the Koinon of the Thessalians during the period considered, while special mention and the tyranny of Pherae. The study demonstrated that during the 5th and 4th century BC, Thessalian cities were independent political organizations, within the framework of the Koinon of the Thessalians, which continues to exist, although at certain times poorly. It was found that the cities have different political institutions and organization. In the cities the existence of various political bodies (boule, ekklesia, groups of or individual magistrates), which bear the responsibility of administration. The cities enjoyed political independence, as members of the Koinon, following often independent foreign and monetary policy. | en |
