| heal.abstract | This Master Thesis focuses on the effects of the First War and national socialism as imprinted mostly in interwar novels and short stories written by German-language authors. The Thesis also focuses on the correlation between the prewar and the postwar period, as it runs through and “haunts” the narratives. To conclude, one of the main objectives was to highlight the psychosocial consequences of war trauma, which can be caused by such a catastrophic event as a world war, and the necessity of absorbing and confronting them. | en |
