| heal.abstract | Σκοπός της παρούσας εργασίας ήταν η αξιολόγηση της επίδοσης των μαθητών στον τομέα του αναγνωστικού γραμματισμού. Συνολικά συμμετείχαν στην έρευνα 155 μαθητές ηλικίας 11 και 12 ετών, εκ των οποίων 77 αγόρια και 78 κορίτσια. Η συλλογή του δείγματος έγινε από ελληνικά δημόσια δημοτικά σχολεία αστικών και ημιαστικών περιοχών. Σύμφωνα με τα αποτελέσματα, παρουσιάζονται στατιστικά σημαντικές διαφορές στην επίδοση των μαθητών ως προς το φύλο και την τάξη, ενώ στατιστικά ασήμαντη είναι η διαφορά σε επίπεδο περιο-χών. Ένα σημαντικό τμήμα των μαθητών (28.4%) αδυνατεί να προσεγγίσει τη βάση της επί-δοσης παρουσιάζοντας σοβαρές δυσκολίες στον τομέα της ανάκτησης μιας πληροφορίας και ειδικότερα στην ερμηνεία και στη συσχέτιση πληροφοριών για τη λήψη μιας απόφασης. Με βάση τα αποτελέσματα της στατιστικής ανάλυσης, οι στάσεις των μαθητών απέναντι στην ανάγνωση, οι στρατηγικές ανάγνωσης και οι απόψεις τους για το ρόλο του σχολείου ως προς την καλλιέργεια του αναγνωστικού γραμματισμού σχετίζονται θετικά, ωστόσο η επίδοση δε σχετίζεται με τους προαναφερθέντες παράγοντες. | el |
| heal.abstract | The aim of this study was the assessment of students’ performance in the field of reading lit-eracy. In total, 155 students, aged 11 and 12 years old participated, of whom 77 were boys and 78 girls. The collection of the sample was carried out at Greek public primary schools of urban and suburban areas. According to the results, significant statistical differences exist in students’ performance with regard to sex and class, however, statistically insignificant was the difference between students of different areas. An important number of students’ (28.4%) fails to reach the benchmark level performance displaying serious difficulties in the field of information retrieval and especially in the interpretation and reflection on the information. Based on the results of the statistical analysis, students’ attitudes towards reading, reading strategies and their views about the role of school in the cultivation of reading literacy have a positive correlation, though students’ performance is not related to the aforementioned fac-tors. | en |
