| heal.abstract | Η παρακάτω εργασία εκπονείται με θέμα τις οπτικές ίνες και αναλύει ευρεία θεμάτων που αφορούν το συγκεκριμένο αντικείμενο. Αρχικά, για την εισαγωγή του αναγνώστη στην θεματολογία η οποία επρόκειτο να αναλυθεί, θα πραγματοποιηθεί παρουσίαση της ιστορικής αναδρομής των τηλεπικοινωνιακών δικτύων καθώς και των οπτικών ινών. Επίσης, θα δοθεί έμφαση στον ορισμό των οπτικών ινών και στην κατηγοριοποίησή τους, στον τρόπο λειτουργίας τους και στα αίτια αυτής. Έχοντας κατανοήσει τον ορισμό των οπτικών ινών, πραγματοποιείται τεχνική ανάλυση των δικτύων των οπτικών ινών αναλύοντας την καλωδίωση, τον τρόπο εγκατάστασης, τις απαιτούμενες προδιαγραφές συνθηκών. Εν συνεχεία, αντιπαρατίθενται το δίκτυο χαλκού με το δίκτυο οπτικών ινών με στόχο την διεξαγωγή συμπερασμάτων των μελλοντικών υλοποιήσεων δικτύων. Τέλος, περιγράφονται οι εφαρμογές των οπτικών ινών καθώς και επιπλέον τρόποι χρήσης τους. Τελευταίο στάδιο για την ολοκλήρωση της εργασίας αποτελεί η διεξαγωγή τελικών συμπερασμάτων επί του συνόλου των πληροφοριών που έχουν δοθεί σε κάθε κεφάλαιο. | el |
| heal.abstract | The following thesis is prepared on the subject of optical fibers and analyzes a wide range of issues related to the specific object. Initially, in order to introduction to the reader the topics that will be analyzed, it is going to present the historical background of telecommunications networks as well as fiber optics. Emphasis will also be placed on the definition of fiber optics and their categorization, their mode of operation and its causes. Having understood the definition of optical fibers, a technical analysis of the fiber optic networks is performed by analyzing the wiring, the way of installation, the required conditions’ specifications. Moreover, the copper network is compared with the fiber optic network in order to draw conclusions from future network implementations. Finally, the applications of optical fibers are described as well as additional ways of their use. The last step in completing the thesis is to draw final conclusions on all the information given in each chapter. | el |
