Description

Modeling labour demand in Greece is quite important for the policy makers. The unemployment rate is quite high, comparing this one to those of the other European countries. Although the decrease of the unemployment rate during the last three years, the increase of the number of employed persons is not important. In this paper we try to find the determinants of labour demand in Greece for the period 1980 - 2004. The variables tested in this paper are both economic and social. The econometric technique used in this paper is this one of the ARDL (Autoregressive Distributed Lag Framework)
