Η παρούσα εργασία μελετά τις απεικονίσεις των Χριστουγέννων στο σύγχρονο ελληνικό εικονογραφημένο παιδικό μικροαφήγημα της περιόδου 2000-2018. Σκοπός της εργασίας είναι η εξέταση αφενός των αφηγηματικών τεχνικών και αφετέρου της εικονογράφησης σύγχρονων αφηγημάτων αναδεικνύοντας παράλληλα τόσο τα ιδεολογικά μηνύματα, όσο και τις συγγραφικές τάσεις για τη μυθοπλασία στο παιδικό αφήγημα της τελευταίας εικοσαετίας. Για την ανάλυση των αφηγημάτων ακολουθήσαμε μια προσέγγιση που συνδυάζει τη θεωρία του G. Genette για τη μελέτη των αφηγηματικών τεχνικών, καθώς και τη θεωρητική προσέγγιση της Γιαννικοπούλου για τη μελέτη της εικονογράφησης. Παράλληλα, εξετάζονται οι νεοτερικές αφηγηματικές τεχνικές ως χαρακτηριστικά των υπό συζήτηση αφηγημάτων, τα παρακειμενι-κά στοιχεία, αλλά και η σχέση εικόνας και λόγου. Τα αφηγήματα στο σύνολό τους ανήκουν στον θεματικό κύκλο των Χριστουγέννων, ωστόσο η επιμέρους θεματική τους συγκρότηση αφορά σε οικουμενικές αξίες, όπως η αγάπη, η προσφορά, η αλληλεγγύη, η συνεργασία, η δύναμη της πίστης, η διαπολιτισμικότητα, καθώς και σε σύγχρονα κοινωνικά ζητήματα, όπως ο πόλεμος, η διαφορετικότητα, ο καταναλωτισμός, η οικολογία. Μελετώντας ένα αξιόπιστο δείγμα αφηγημάτων της περιόδου 2000-2018, καταδεικνύεται η έκδηλη προσπάθεια των δημιουργών τους να προωθούν διαχρονικά μηνύματα τόσο μέσα από το κείμενο, όσο και μέσα από την εικονογράφηση, και να συνδέουν την παράδοση με τις τάσεις και τις αντιλήψεις της σύγχρονης εποχής.
This paper deals with numerous images of Christmas in contemporary Greek Children‟s books of 2000-2018 era. The aim of this research work is to examine both narrative technique and illustration of contemporary storytelling of the last two decades, assessing at the same time, any ideological massages and author trends about Children‟s books storytelling. In order to analyze the narratives, a combined approach is used, based on the G. Genette theory for the study of narrative techniques and the theoretical approach of Giannikopoulou for the study of illustrations. Also, key points such as the contemporary techniques, as features of the books under discussion, the surroundings elements, the image/narrative relationship, is examined. All fairytales belong to the Christmas thematic cycle, however, they‟re dealing with subjects that highlight universal ethics, such us love, unselfing giving, cooperation, solidarity, power of faith, interculturality, and contemporary social issues, such us, war, diversity, consumer-ism, ecology. Analyzing a reliable amplitude of specimen of the 2000-2018 era, it is easily demonstrated that their authors manage through the text and illustration, to display and high-light everlasting humanistic ethics, and to link tradition with trends and perceptions of con-temporary days.
