| heal.abstract | Η Νόσος Πάρκινσον (ΝΠ) αποτελεί μία από τις πιο συχνές νευρολογικές αιτίες για την εμφάνιση της δυσφαγίας και συνδέεται με υψηλή θνησιμότητα, νοσηρότητα αλλά και κοινωνικό κόστος (Panebianco, Marchese-Ragona, Masiero & Restivo, 2020). Πάνω από το 80% των ασθενών με ΝΠ αναπτύσσουν δυσφαγία κατά τη διάρκεια της νόσου τους και αν αναλογιστεί κανείς τις σημαντικές επιπτώσεις που αυτή επιφέρει, όπως η πνευμονία από εισρόφηση, η οποία είναι η κύρια αιτία θανάτου στους ασθενείς με ΝΠ, θα καταλάβει ότι πρέπει να γίνει περαιτέρω έρευνα (Fasano et al., 2015) ειδικά για τον ελληνικό πληθυσμό ο οποίος στερείται από ανιχνευτικά εργαλεία. Επιπρόσθετα, τα τελευταία χρόνια σύμφωνα με την βιβλιογραφία η ανάπτυξη της σαρκοπενίας μπορεί να σχετίζεται εκτός από την γήρανση και με άλλες καταστάσεις όπως διάφορες χρόνιες νευρολογικές παθήσεις, για παράδειγμα η νόσος Πάρκινσον (Cruz-Jentoft et al., 2019). Στην κλινική πρακτική ένας στους πέντε ασθενείς με ΝΠ εμφανίζουν σαρκοπενία και η σοβαρότητα εξαρτάται από την σοβαρότητα της ΝΠ (Vetrano et al., 2018). Τέλος πρόσφατες έρευνες προσπαθούν να μελετήσουν αν υπάρχει συσχέτιση της σαρκοπενίας και της πνευμονίας από εισρόφηση (Okazaki et al., 2019), που είναι η κύρια αιτία θανάτου σε ασθενείς με ΝΠ. | el |
| heal.abstract | Parkinson's disease is one of the most common neurological causes of dysphagia and is associated with high mortality, morbidity and social costs (Panebianco, MarcheseRagona, Masiero & Restivo, 2020). More than 80% of patients with PD develop dysphagia during their illness and if someone considers the significant effects it has, such as aspiration pneumonia, which is the leading cause of death in patients with NP, will realize that further research should be done (Fasano et al., 2015) especially for the Greek population that lacks of detection tools. In addition, in recent years, according to the literature, the development of sarcopenia may be associated in addition to aging with other conditions such as various chronic neurological diseases, for example Parkinson's disease (Cruz-Jentoft et al., 2019).
