Στην εργασία αυτή εξετάζεται, η τεχνική καλλιέργειας που χρησιμοποιούνται στον Ελλαδικό χώρο κατά τα αρχαία χρόνια .
Στόχος της είναι, να συλλέξει, να ομαδοποιήσει και να συνοψίσει, σύμφωνα με τα σωζόμενα στοιχεία, τις διάφορες απεικονίσεις στους αμφορείς και στα ανάγλυφα, τις καλλιεργητικές εργασίες στην αρχαία Ελλάδα.
Από τους πρώτους που αναφέρονται στην καλλιέργεια είναι, ο αρχαίος φιλόσοφος Ησίοδος στο έργο του με τίτλο «Έργα και Ημέρες» και ο Ξενοφών στο έργο του «Οικονομικά»
Ο Θεόφραστος με τα βιβλία, «περί φυτών ιστορία» και «περί φυτών αιτίαι» μας δίνει πολλές πληροφορίες για τα φυτά, την προέλευσή τους και τις ιαματικές τους ιδιότητες.
Ο Πολυδεύκης με το έργο του «Ὀνομαστικόν», μας αναφέρει τα εργαλεία που είχαν για την καλλιέργεια των αγρών.
Η εργασία χωρίζεται σε τρία μέρη. Αρχικά, θα αναφερθώ στις καλλιεργητικές περιοχές. Πώς ονομάζονταν, τα χωράφια, ανάλογα με τη χρήση τους, συνεχίζοντας θα αναφερθώ στα αγροτικά εργαλεία που είχαν εκείνη την εποχή και τον τρόπο που τα χρησιμοποιούσαν και τέλος, θα αναφερθώ στις καλλιεργητικές τεχνικές - εργασίες, για την λίπανση και την προστασία φυτών, φυτοπροστασία, που χρησιμοποιούσαν την περίοδο εκείνη.
Επίσης θα κάνω και μία αναφορά για τον καιρό που επικρατούσε στην Ελλάδα.
Η έλλειψη εξειδικευμένης βιβλιογραφίας στο συγκεκριμένο θέμα, έχει δημιουργήσει ένα μεγάλο κενό ως προς το θέμα, αλλά ταυτόχρονα χώρο για έρευνα και μελέτη.
This work examines the cultivation technique used in ancient Greece. Its purpose is to collect, group and summarize the cultivation work in ancient Greece, according to the preserved data and the various depictions of the amphorae and the reliefs. Among the first to be mentioned in the cultivation process are the ancient philosopher Xenophon in "Economics" and Hesiod in "Works and Days". Theophrastus in his books entitled "About Plant History" and "About Plant Causes", gives us a lot of information about plants, their origin and their healing properties. Polydefkis, in his work entitled "The Name", tells us about the tools they had for cultivating the fields. The work is divided into three parts. First, I will talk about the specific areas used for cultivation purposes. How the areas were named, the fields, depending on their use, I will go on to refer to the agricultural tools were used back them and the way they were used and, finally, the cultivation techniques, fertilization and plant protection they used. I will also make a reference to the weather in Greece. The lack of specialized literature on this particular subject has created a large gap in the subject, but, at the same time a space for research and study. There will also be a report on the weather in Greece.
