heal.abstract | The Solar Terrestrial Relations Observatory EUV telescopes have uncovered small-scale eruptive events, tentatively referred to as "mini-CMEs" because they exhibit morphologies similar to large-scale coronal mass ejections (CMEs). Coronal waves and widespread diffuse dimmings followed by the expansion of the coronal waves are the most brightly manifestations of large-scale CMEs. The high temporal and spatial resolution of the EUV data allows us to detect and analyze these eruptive events, to resolve their fine structure, and to show that the observed "mini-waves" have a strong similarity to the large-scale "EIT' waves.
