heal.abstract	Το θέμα της παρούσας διδακτορικής διατριβής είναι η κριτική έκδοση και ο μερικός σχολιασμός τριών χειρογράφων που χρονολογούνται στον 14ο αιώνα και ανήκουν στην κατηγορία των ιατρικών. Τα δύο από τα τρία παραδίδουν το ίδιο κείμενο και τα αποδίδουμε σε κάποιον ψευδο-Μυρεψό λόγω της σύνδεσης του περιεχομένου τους με το Δυναμερό του Νικολάου Μυρεψού και το τρίτο αποδίδεται σε κάποιον Κάλλιστο. Ως προς το περιεχόμενό τους έχουν κοινά στοιχεία τόσο με τον Μυρεψό αλλά, και με έργα συγγραφέων όπως, ο Αλέξανδρος Τράλλεων, ο Αέτιος ο Αμιδηνός, ο Αίλιος Πρωμότος, ο Γαληνός, ο Ορειβάσιος και ο Αρχιγένης, ενώ υπάρχουν και συνταγές που δεν παραδίδονται από κάποια άλλη πηγή πέρα από αυτούς τους τρις κώδικες. Για να εμβαθύνουμε ωστόσο στα κείμενα αυτά καθαυτά προχωρήσαμε σε μια ιστορική αναδρομή γύρω από θέματα, όπως η εξέλιξη του συστήματος υγείας και η αντίληψη γύρω από την αντιμετώπιση των ασθενειών στο Βυζάντιο από τον 4ο έως τον 13ο αιώνα. Σημαντικό μέρος της εξέλιξης αυτής αποτέλεσαν οι ξενῶνες, ιδρύματα που παρείχαν ιατρική περίθαλψη, ενώ δόθηκαν αντιπροσωπευτικά παραδείγματα ξενώνων ώστε να γίνει αντιληπτός ο πυρήνας δημιουργίας και συνάμα χρησης των αντιδοταρίων. Επιπλέον, αυτό στο οποίο αφιερώθηκε αρκετός χώρος στην εργασία είναι η καταγραφή των φυτικών, ζωικών και ανόργανων στοιχείων που χρησιμοποιούνται στις συνταγές, αλλά και αναφορές σε κάποιες φαρμακολογικές μελέτες, in vitro και in vivo πειράματα για τις θεραπευτικές ιδιότητες κάποιων από αυτά. Σκοπός της διδακτορικής αυτής διατριβής είναι να ενταχθούν τα κείμενα που μελετήθηκαν στο ευρύ δίκτυο των αντιδοταρίων, να γίνει αντιληπτή η σύνδεσή τους με προγενέστερη θεωρία όπως εκείνη του Διοσκουρίδη και να τονιστεί η μοναδικότητα και σπουδαιότητά τους μέσω του περιεχομένου τους.	el
heal.abstract	This dissertation constitutes a critical edition and partial commentary on three manuscripts with medical formulae dated to the 14th century. Two of these transmit the same text, which is attributed to a certain pseudo-Myrepsos due to its associations with the Dynameron of Nikolaos Myrepsos, while the third transmits a text attributed to a certain Kallistos. Their content exhibits similarities with both the work of Myrepsos and that of other medical writers, such as Alexander of Tralles, Aetius of Amida, Aelius Promotus, Galen, Oreibasius and Archigenes. Also, these three codices preserve formulae that are otherwise unattested. The examination of the texts themselves necessitated a discussion of their historical context, including topics such as the evolution of medicine and the treatment of illness in Byzantium from the 4th to the 13th century. An aspect crucial to this evolution were the hospices (xenones), and as such, this study encompasses an examination of salient examples of such institutions, to elucidate the context in which medical formulae were compiled into antidotaria and used. In addition, this dissertation devotes extensive effort to documenting the substances - whether from flora, fauna or minerals- used in the formulae, and also references pharmacological research with in vitro and in vivo experiments to identify the therapeutic qualities of some of these. The objective of this dissertation is to incorporate the texts under examination into the wider context medical corpus, clarify their association with the existing theoretical medicinal framework, exemplified by Dioscorides, for one, and emphasise the uniqueness and importance of their content.	en
