heal.abstractΈνα αστικό κενό η κοινωνία το εκλαμβάνει ως μια θετική ή/και αρνητική κατάσταση, κατάσταση ενδιάμεση. Ούτε μαύρη, ούτε άσπρη, αλλά γκρι. Είναι όμως απλά μια ενδιάμεση κατάσταση όπως φαίνεται ή είναι μια έννοια εκκολαπτόμενη με πολλές ερμηνείες και τοποθετήσεις; Η παρούσα ερευνητική εργασία μελετά τα αστικά κενά και πώς αυτά διαστρωματώνονται κάθετα σε ύψος. Με άλλα λόγια, διαπραγματεύεται το πώς αυτά αξιοποιούνται και παράλληλα, διερευνά το παράδειγμα του εναέριου δρόμου, ως συνάρτηση των αστικών κενών σε ύψος και ως υπολει-πόμενοι χώροι. Σκοπός της είναι να αναδείξει ότι τα αστικά κενά βρίσκονται σε περισσότερα ση-μεία από αυτά που έχουν τυπικώς οριστεί. Η διερεύνηση συμπεριλαμβάνει όλους τους άξονες που μπορεί να παρατηρηθεί ένα αστικό κενό μέσα στο οπτικό πεδίο, υπέργειους και υπόγειους. Η εργασία, αρχικά, εστιάζει στην εισαγωγή του αναγνώστη στην έννοια του αστικού κενού και μετέπειτα στο πώς αυτό κατανέμεται σε κατηγορίες, με βάση τη σχετική του τοποθεσία στην πόλη και τα χαρακτηριστικά του. Η κατηγοριοποίηση πραγματοποιείται μέσω οριζόντιας διαίρεσης του υπάρχοντος περιβάλλοντος σε ζώνες. Παράλληλα, ο διαχωρισμός των ζωνών αυτών γίνεται μέσω οριζόντιων εμποδίων, είτε φυσικών είτε τεχνητών. Στη συνέχεια, πραγματοποιείται μια συσχέτιση με το Flyover, καθώς ο έντονος διαμερισμός της κατάστασης πάνω και κάτω από το δρόμο και τα κενά που δημιουργούνται από τη μη χρήση των εκάστοτε χώρων φαίνεται να αποτελούν ένα ζω-ντανό παράδειγμα που φανερώνει την ύπαρξη δυο αστικών κενών ταυτόχρονα.el
heal.abstractAn urban void is perceived by society as a positive and/or negative state, an intermediate state. Neither black nor white, but grey. But is it simply an intermediate state as it seems or is it a nas-cent concept with many interpretations and positions? This research studies urban voids and how they are layered vertically in height. In other words, it discusses how they are exploited and, in parallel, explores the example of the aerial street as a function of urban voids in height and as residual spaces. Its aim is to highlight that urban voids are located in more places than those formally defined. The investigation includes all axes where an urban void can be observed within the visual field, above and below ground. The research first focuses on introducing the reader to the concept of urban void and then on how it is divided into categories, based on its relative location in the city and its characteristics. The categorization is carried out through a horizontal division of the existing environment into zones. At the same time, these zones are divided by means of horizontal barriers, either natural or artificial. A correlation with the Flyover is then made, as the strong partitioning of the situation above and below the street and the gaps created by the non-use of the respective spaces seem to be a vivid example that reveals the existence of two urban voids at the same time.en
