| heal.abstract | Οι θάνατοι από τη χρήση ψυχοτρόπων ουσιών αφορούν πολύ συχνά νέους ανθρώπους και υποδηλώνουν κάποια συγκεκριμένη ριψοκίνδυνη συμπεριφορά. Η «νεανική παρορμητικότητα» και η «αψήφηση προφανών κινδύνων» είναι ευκόλως αναγνωρίσιμα στοιχεία σε αυτά τα περιστατικά. Ωστόσο, σε μία δεύτερη ανάγνωση, θα μπορούσαμε να διακρίνουμε αρχετυπικά πρότυπα συμπεριφοράς, τα οποία χάνονται στην αχλύ της Ιστορίας του Ανθρώπου. Σύμφωνα με αυτήν την προσέγγιση, η Ελληνική Μυθολογία περιέχει πολλούς θανάτους νέων ανθρώπων, οι οποίοι αξίζει να αναφερθούν και να αναλυθούν. Αρκεί να θυμηθούμε τους μύθους του Νάρκισσου και του Ίκαρου, για να κατανοήσουμε τα πολλαπλά πρόσωπα των νεανικών θανάτων και να αναζητήσουμε τις αναλογίες τους με τη συμπεριφορά των σύγχρονων νέων. | el |
| heal.abstract | Deaths occurring as a consequence of drug abuse very often concern young people and they denote a risky and marginal behavior. Usually, the cases of overdose toxicity are related with "youthful impulsiveness" and "defiance of obvious risks". However, apart from this typical and rather superficial approach, a closer examination may reveal archetypal behavior patterns, which are lost in the haze of Human History. According to this approach, Greek Mythology describes many deaths of young people, which deserve a further analysis. When we recall the myths of Narcissus, Icarus, or Hippolytus, it is easier to perceive the multiple faces of archetypal youth deaths. In an epidemiological study with adolescents, we had the opportunity to depict fine hues of attitudes, among those youngsters who were prone to experiment with psychoactive substances. They described their relations with their father as “very bad” or even as “non-existent”. This type of personality clearly points towards the behavioral pattern of Icarus, a young figure ready to experience an endless flight in the sky, ignoring the common sense represented by the example of his father. | en |
