Catalytic activity of zincosilicate MFI for the dehydrogenation of hydrocarbonsen
Zincosilicates of MFI structure with various Zn/Si ratio were prepared by crystallization of the initial gel formed by mixing of water glass, sodium zincate and tetrapropylammonium bromide (TPABr) as a template. The samples with Si/Zn ratio up to 30 show high crystallinity. The products were modified with various cations including protons. The samples show considerable activity and selectivity for conversion of propane and cyclohexane. The activity increases with raising zinc content, although the highest Zn loading results in diminished activity because of lower crystallinity. The acidity of the samples plays a beneficial role in their catalytic activity.en
