Το θέμα αυτής της εργασίας είναι η καταγραφή των πιο επιζήμιων εντομολογικών φυτοπαράσιτων που προσβάλουν τα ακρόδρυα. Τα ακρόδρυα τα οποία περιλαμβάνονται στην παρούσα διατριβή είναι η αμυγδαλιά, η καστανιά, η φουντουκιά, η καρυδιά και η φιστικιά Αιγίνης.
Περιγράφονται εν συντομία οι αποδόσεις για κάθε μία καλλιέργεια ακρόδρυων, αναφέροντας και τις περιοχές ή χώρες που καλλιεργούνται ευρέως. Αναφέρονται οι πιο κατάλληλες ποικιλίες ανά είδος για καλλιέργεια αλλά και ποιες αποδίδουν περισσότερη σοδειά. Επίσης, σε επόμενες παραγράφους περιγράφονται τα βοτανικά χαρακτηριστικά των φυτών (ρίζες, φύλλα, βλαστούς κ.α.).
Ακολουθούν λεπτομερείς περιγραφές για την φιστικιά Αιγίνης στην οποία εστιάζει περαιτέρω η διατριβή, αναφέροντας (πέρα από τα βοτανικά χαρακτηριστικά) αναλυτικά τα στάδια της άνθησης, της καρποφορίας αλλά και για τις καλλιεργούμενες ποικιλίες.
Στη συνέχεια γίνεται αναφορά για κάθε ένα επιζήμιο εχθρό ανά τάξη που προσβάλλει τουλάχιστον μία ή δύο καλλιέργειες ακρόδρυων, εφόσον έχουν έναν κοινό ξενιστή. Γίνεται αναφορά στα μορφολογικά χαρακτηριστικά τους, στον βιολογικό τους κύκλο, στις ζημιές που προκαλούν στα φυτά καθώς και στους τρόπους καταπολέμησής τους είτε με συμβατική είτε με ολοκληρωμένη διαχείριση.
The subject of this work is the recording of the most harmful entomological phytoparasites that infect the acrods. The acrods that are included in this dissertation are the almond tree, the chestnut, the hazelnut, the walnut and the pistachio. First, the yields for each acrod crop are briefly described, indicating the areas or countries that are widely cultivated. The most suitable varieties per type of crop are mentioned, but also which ones yield the most quantity. Also, in the following paragraphs the botanical characteristics of the plants are described (roots, leaves, shoots, etc.). The following are the most detailed descriptions of the Aegina pistachio on which the dissertation focuses further, stating (in addition to the botanical characteristics) in detail the stages of flowering, fruiting but also for the cultivated varieties. The following is a list of harmful pests per class that infest at least one or two acrod cultivation if they have a common host. Reference is made to their morphological characteristics, their biological cycle, the damages they cause in plants as well as to the ways of their control either with conventional or with integrated management.
