heal.abstractTwo novel Gdlll-hfpd complexes 1 and 2 have been synthesised from aqueous and non-aqueous media; the crystal structural studies reveal that 1 has a M406 bicapped cubane core with the metals having tricapped trigonal prismatic geometry, while 2 is a monomeric adduct with water and acetone in the coordination sphere, with the metal having square antiprismatic geometry.en
