heal.abstractΗ εργασία αφορά στην εικονογραφία της Θεοτόκου σε ιταλοκρητικές εικόνες του 15ου-16ου αι. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, εξετάζει τους εικονογραφικούς τύπους της Θεοτόκου Βρεφοκρατούσας με τις παραλλαγές της, τη Θεοτόκο με το νεκρό Χριστό, καθώς και την παρουσία της Θεοτόκου στις ευαγγελικές σκηνές και στις σκηνές του κύκλου του Πάθους.Επίσης, ερευνάται το ιστορικό πλαίσιο της περιόδου μέσα στο οποίο γεννηθηκε και διαμορφώθηκε η τέχνη των ιταλοκρητικών εικόνων, οι κοινωνικοπολιτισμικές συνθήκες, οι δημιουργοί και οι αγοραστές. Κατόπιν, μελετούνται τα δύο μεγάλα καλλιτεχνικά κέντρα(Χάνδακας, Βενετία) και οι συνθήκες κάτω από τις οποίες επιτεύχθηκε ο συγκερασμός των δύο πολιτισμών. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό διερευνάται η τεχνοτροπία των εικόνων και αναζητούνται τα στοιχεία της βυζαντινής παράδοσης και οι επιδράσεις της βενετσιάνικης τέχνης.el
heal.abstractThis work concerns the iconography of the Virgin in italocretan icons of 15th and 16th century. More specifically, it examines the iconographic types of the Virgin and Child, with its variants, Virgin with dead Christ and also the Virgin's presence in evangelic scenes and the scenes of Passion. Also, there has been an effort to investigate the historical context of the period in which have arisen and become the art of italocretan icons, the sociocultural conditions, the painters and the patrons. Moreover, there has been studied the two largest artistic centres (Candia, Venice) and the circumstances under whichhas achieved the combination of two cultures. In these respects has been investigated the style of icons and characteristics of byzantine tradition and the influences of venetian art. Last but not least, all the icons included in the thesis are presented in a cataloque and in an annex.en
