| heal.abstract | Αντικείμενο της παρούσας εργασίας είναι η κριτική έκδοση, η απόδοση στη νέα ελληνική και ο σχολιασμός του εγκωμίου του Πατριάρχη Σισιννίου Β’ (996-999) για τους Αγίους Κήρυκο και Ιουλίττα, οι οποίοι έζησαν και μαρτύρησαν για την πίστη τους την εποχή του αυτοκράτορα Διοκλητιανού (284-305). Το εγκώμιο (ff. 76v-85v) συγκαταλέγεται στον υπ’ αριθμό 501 κώδικα της Εθνικής Βιβλιοθήκης της Γαλλίας (Paris. graecus 501). Ο συγκεκριμένος κώδικας περιέχει κείμενα κυρίως αγιολογικού περιεχομένου, εγκώμια, ομιλίες, βίους, τα περισσότερα από τα οποία αναφέρονται σε πρόσωπα που έζησαν επί Διοκλητιανού και υπήρξαν θύματα της αντιχριστιανικής πολιτικής της ρωμαϊκής αρχής, που εκφράστηκε με τη μέθοδο των διώξεων. Δύο από αυτά τα πρόσωπα ήταν και οι Άγιοι Ιουλίττα και Κήρυκος (μητέρα και υιός), στους οποίους ο Πατριάρχης Σισίννιος Β’ αφιερώνει το συγκεκριμένο εγκώμιο, το οποίο αποτελεί ένα εξαιρετικό δείγμα της παραγωγής αγιολογικών κειμένων του 10ου αιώνα, εντασσόμενο στα είδη της ρητορικής. Στην παρούσα εργασία ο ενδιαφερόμενος αναγνώστης, εκτός από το κείμενο και την απόδοσή του στη νέα ελληνική, θα βρει τα βιογραφικά στοιχεία του συνθέτη του εγκωμίου και τα ιστορικά των χρόνων που διετέλεσε Πατριάρχης, την περιγραφή συνολικά του κώδικα καθώς και το ιστορικό πλαίσιο της περιόδου κατά την οποία έζησαν οι δύο εγκωμιαζόμενοι Άγιοι. | el |
| heal.abstract | The subject of this thesis is the critical edition, the translation in the new greek language and the commentary of the laudation of Patriarch Sissinius II (996-999) for the Saints Kyrikos and Iulitta, who lived and martyred for their faith during the time of Emperor Diocletian (284-305). The laudation (ff. 76v-85v) is part of the French National Library's paris code 501 (Paris. graecus 501). The specific code contains texts mainly of hagiological content, laudations, speeches, biographies, most of which refer to persons who lived during the time of Diocletian and were victims of anti-christian policy of the roman authority, expressed by the method of persecution. Two of these faces were the Saints Iulitta and Kyrikos (mother and son), to whom Patriarch Sissinius II dedicated this laudation, which is an excellent example of the production of 10th century hagiological texts, belonging to the genre of rhetoric. In this work, the reader, in addition to the text and its translation in the new greek language, will find the biographical details of the composer of the laudation and the historical details of the period when he was Patriarch, the description of the code as a whole and the historical context of the period, in which the two Saints lived. | en |
