Description

Recently, Roy and Chaudhuri presented a production-inventory model for deteriorating items when the demand rate depends on the instantaneous inventory level and the production rate depends on both stock level and demand. The models without shortages and with shortages were discussed. These models impose continuity constraints on the inventory levels, and consequently the optimization problems so obtained are constrained ones. However, the authors treated them as unconstrained ones.
