| heal.abstract | After the destruction of the Turkish army in Dervenakia, Deli Ahmet Aga, a general of Dramalis, with three to ten thousand soldiers, left Korinthos, in order to take by storm the two fortifications of the village Klenia, the church of Panagia and the Promahonas. The final target of the Turks was the occupation of the narrow pass of Klisura (Hagionori) and the gathering of food (cereals etc). After two assaults on the fortifications of the Greeks, the Turks occupied Klenia and the Greek guard left for the castle of Hagionori, followed by the enemy. In this crucial moment, the Greek soldiers of Agios Vasilios hasten to help the guard of Klenia. They seized the two above-mentioned fortifications and after, with the cooperation of the Greek, who returned from Hagionori, running after the Turks, they conquered the village of Klenia. The Turks left for Korinthos empty-handed. | en |
