Description

The movement of pesticides methyl parathion, lindane and atrazine in two successive soil layers of 0-10 and 10-20 cm depth has been simulated by using the relevant equation for the first and second vessel of a continuously stirred tank reactor (CSTR) cascade model. Constants which account for the total rates of disappearance of pesticide molecules from the soil due to the physical (rainfall) as well as the chemical, biochemical and photochemical action, have been calculated.
