heal.abstractThe survey was consisted of two parts, the theoretical part and the research part. The first chapter referred to communication and the term was analyzed thoroughly. First, the definition of communication was analyzed and its types and forms. Ηn addition, the definition of communicative competence was explained and the categories in which its divided. Finally, the flow of communication in organizations was examined and the term operational communication was explained. The second chapter was divided into two main parts. The phenomenon of multilingualism and then the phenomenon of multiculturalism were examined, both generally and specifically in the workplace. Also, reference was made to basic concepts, the European Union‟s (EU) position about multilingualism and multiculturalism, and the importance of intercultural communication was underlined. In the third chapter, firstly the basic concepts of a business environment were explained. Subsequently, the operation of multinational enterprises was analyzed through Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and finally the importance of multilingualism and multiculturalism were underlined as competitive advantages. The second section consisted of the research part, the purpose, how the research was composed and its difficulties. In addition, the way the questionnaire was created was analyzed and the research hypotheses were highlighted, and the results of the research.
