| heal.abstract | Αντικείμενο της εργασίας είναι οι οχυρές θέσεις και οι ακροπόλεις της Μολοσσίας. Ο γεωγραφικός χώρος της Μολοσσίας, επικράτειας του Ηπειρωτικού φύλου των Μολοσσών, από τον 4ο αι. π.Χ. και έπειτα, ταυτίζεται σε γενικές γραμμές με τα όρια της σημερινής Περιφερειακής Ενότητας (Νομού) Ιωαννίνων. Στην γεωγραφική αυτή ενότητα διατηρούνται σήμερα τα κατάλοιπα μεγάλου αριθμού οχυρών θέσεων (πάνω από 100). Οι οχυρές εγκαταστάσεις, ανάλογα με την έκταση και τη λειτουργία τους και την παρουσία κτιρίων και πολεοδομικού ιστού, μπορούν να καταταχθούν σε πόλεις, πολίσματα, καταφύγια και φρούρια- φυλάκια. Η κατανομή και η λειτουργία τους εξυπηρετούσε τον έλεγχο των διαβάσεων, την πολιτική και διοικητική οργάνωση των μικρότερων φύλων και εθνών που απάρτιζαν το φύλο των Μολοσσών, ενώ παράλληλα αποτελούσε μέρος του αμυντικού δικτύου και της πολιτικής και διοικητικής οργάνωσης του φύλου των Μολοσσών και, σε μεγαλύτερη κλίμακα, των ομοσπονδιακών σχηματισμών της «Απείρου»/ Συμμαχίας και του Κοινού των Ηπειρωτών. Η χρονολόγηση των οχυρών θέσεων και των ακροπόλεων, σύμφωνα με τα λίγα αρχαιολογικά τεκμήρια που προέρχονται από περιορισμένες ανασκαφικές εργασίες, ανάγεται στους ελληνιστικούς χρόνους, και ειδικότερα στον 3ο αι. π.Χ., ενώ είναι πολύ πιθανή η κατασκευή μικρού αριθμού και η επέκταση ή ενίσχυση των υφισταμένων από τα τέλη του 3ου αι. π.Χ., έως την καταστροφή του 167 π.Χ. | el |
| heal.abstract | The subject of this paper is the study of the fortresses and fortified citadels in Molossia. The territory of Molossia, homeland of the Epirotic tribe of the Molossians from the 4th cent. B.C. onwards, is occupied for the most part, the present- day Prefecture of Ioannina. In this geographical unit, the remains of a large number (over a hundred) of fortifications is preserved in our days. The fortifications, depending on their size, their function and the presence of buildings and urban plan, can be classified into cities, towns, shelters and outposts/ forts. The distribution and their function served the control of the roads, the political and administrative organization of the smaller tribes and “ethne”, of which the Molossian tribe consisted, while at the same time the fortifications were part of the defense network and the political and administrative organization of the Molossians, and on a larger scale, the federal formations of the Epirotic Alliance and Epirotic League. The fortresses and fortified citadels, according to the few archaeological evidence from limited excavations, were constructed at the Hellenistic period, and in particular at the 3rd cent. B.C. It is possible that a smaller number has been constructed and the older fortifications renovated at the end of the 3rd cent. B.C. and during the 2nd cent. B.C. until the destruction of 167 B.C. | en |
