heal.abstractΟι άνθρωποι έχουμε την μοναδική ικανότητα να προσλαμβάνουμε τον κόσμο γύρω μας μέσα από ένα πολύπλοκο και πυκνό φάσμα αλληλεπιδράσεων. Αυτό το φάσμα εκτείνεται τόσο στον υλικό κόσμο, των σωματικών αισθήσεων, των υλικών και των αντικειμένων, όσο και τον άυλο κόσμο, των αναμνήσεων, των ιδεών και των συνειρμών. Βιώνουμε τον χώρο και τον χρόνο μέσα από την αρχιτεκτονική, οπότε τι συμβαίνει όταν η αρχιτεκτονική αγνοεί τα εγγενή χαρακτηριστικά της ανθρώπινης ύπαρξης, όπου είναι το σώμα και ο νους; Σύμφωνα με τον Juhani Pallasmaa, η σύγχρονη αρχιτεκτονική δημιουργία έχει απομονώσει την όραση ως την πιο σημαντική αίσθηση, δημιουργώντας μία μονοδιάστατη χωρική αντίληψη. Μέσα από τη μελέτη της φαινομενολογίας και του έργου του αρχιτέκτονα Δημήτρη Πικιώνη, η παρούσα εργασία αναζητεί τα ίχνη μίας αρχιτεκτονικής που υπερβαίνει τις αισθήσεις, τον χώρο και τον χρόνο προκειμένου να επαναπροσδιορίσει την αντίληψη μας για κόσμο γύρω μας.el
heal.abstractAs humans, we have the unique ability to perceive the world around us through a complex and dense spectrum of interactions. This spectrum extends beyond the material world of somatic senses, materials, and objects to the intangible world of memories and ideas. We experience space and time through architecture, so the question is: what happens when architecture ignores the inherit characteristics of human being that is body and mind? According to Juhani Pallasmaa, contemporary architecture practice has isolated the sense οf sight as the most important sense of all, thus creating a one-dimensional spatial perception. Through the study of phenomenology and the work of Dimitris Pikionis, this research paper seeks the traces of an architecture practice that transcends senses, space, and time in order to redefine our understanding of the world around us.en
