heal.abstractΗ διπλωματική εργασία επικεντρώνεται στην παρατήρηση της Αθήνας και στην προσαρμογή της αρχιτεκτονικής στις κλιματικές της ανάγκες, εστιάζοντας στην διαχείριση των υδάτων. Στην εργασία σχολιάζεται η ανάγκη για την δημιουργία αντιπλημμυρικών έργων στο κέντρο της πόλης. Εστιάζοντας στον υπογειοποιημένο ποταμό Ιλισό και στα «προβληματικά» του σημεία, προτείνεται η δημιουργία αστικού φαραγγίου, στο οποίο εντάσσεται η κατασκευή του νέου σταθμού μετρό του Ευαγγελισμού και ο σχεδιαμός εκθεσιακού χώρου γύρω από το αγωγό – ποτάμι. Το αστικό φαράγγι είναι εναρμονισμένο με την τοπογραφία με γνώμονα τη βελτίωση της αστικής ζωής. Η προσέγγιση ενσωματώνει την ιστορία του Ιλισού και επιδιώκει τη συμβίωση των φυσικών και αστικών στοιχείων, με σκοπό την παραγωγή πιθανών αρχιτεκτονικών λύσεων σε κλιματολογικά προβλήματα των σύγχρονων πόλεων.el
heal.abstractThe diploma thesis focuses on the observation of Athens and the adaptation of its architecture to its climate needs, with a focus on water management. The paper discusses the need for the creation of flood control projects in the city center. Concentrating on the underground river Ilissos and its “problematic” points, the proposal suggests the creation of an urban gorge, incorporating the construction of the new Evangelismos metro station and the design of an exhibition space around the conduit-river. The urban gorge is harmonized with the topography, aiming to improve urban life. The approach integrates the history of Ilissos and seeks the coexistence of natural and urban elements, aiming to generate possible architectural solutions to the climatic problems of modern cities.en
