Το κουκλοθέατρο είναι μια μορφή της Δραματικής Τέχνης στην Εκπαίδευση και πολύτιμο εκπαιδευτικό εργαλείο, καθώς περιβάλλεται από μυστήριο, χιούμορ, προσεγγισιμότητα, εφευρετικότητα, δημιουργικότητα και δημιουργεί τις συνθήκες για αλληλεπιδραστική/διαφοροποιημένη μάθηση. Ως παιδαγωγικό εργαλείο, το κουκλοθέατρο προσφέρει την δυνατότητα στους μαθητές να εκφράσουν τα συναισθήματα τους, ενεργοποιείται η φαντασία τους και διευκολύνεται η γεφύρωση των πολιτιστικών, θρησκευτικών, γλωσσικών, κοινωνικών ή φυλετικών διαφοροποιήσεων. Παράλληλα, υπάρχει κι ένα έντονο ενδιαφέρον αξιοποίησης των τεχνικών της Δραματικής τέχνης για την καλλιέργεια των κοινωνικών δεξιοτήτων των παιδιών, της ευαισθητοποίησης τους απέναντι στα άτομα που δεν συμπεριφέρονται όπως στερεοτυπικά θέλει το βιολογικό τους φύλο.
Το πρώτο μέρος της Διπλωματικής Εργασίας περιλαμβάνει το θεωρητικό πλαίσιο σχετικά με την ιστορία του κουκλοθεάτρου, τα είδη θεατρικής κούκλας, το Κουκλοθέατρο σαν παιδαγωγικό εργαλείο και συγκεκριμένα ως μέσο προσέγγισης των έμφυλων συμπεριφορών, την ταυτότητα του φύλου στην προσχολική ηλικία, την αναγνώριση των έμφυλων διαφορών και τρόπους διαχείρισης και επίλυσης των συγκρούσεων .
Το δεύτερο μέρος της Διπλωματικής Εργασίας περιλαμβάνει μια εικαστική εγκατάσταση με χειροποίητες κούκλες κουκλοθεάτρου και ένα πρωτότυπο έργο το οποίο μπορεί να παρουσιαστεί σε νηπιαγωγεία, με θεματολογία την επίλυση έμφυλων συγκρούσεων.
Puppet theater is a form of Dramatic Art in Education and a valuable educational tool, as it is surrounded by mystery, humor, approachability, inventiveness, creativity and creates the conditions for interactive/differentiated learning. As a pedagogical tool, puppet theater offers students the opportunity to express their feelings, activates their imagination and facilitates the bridging of cultural, religious, linguistic, social, or racial differences. At the same time, there is also a strong interest in utilizing the techniques of the Dramatic art for the cultivation of children's social skills, raising their awareness towards people who do not behave as stereotypically as their biological sex wants. The first part of the thesis includes the theoretical framework regarding the history of puppetry, the types of theatrical puppets, puppetry as an educational tool, and specifically as a means of addressing gender behaviors, gender identity in preschool age, the recognition of gender differences, and ways to manage and resolve conflicts. The second part of the thesis includes a visual installation with handmade puppets and an original work that can be presented in kindergartens, focusing on the theme of resolving gender conflicts.
