heal.abstract	There are three primary mechanisms for interpreting library service quality assessment scores. First, we can compare our scores for one year with the scores we obtained on the same measure in previous years. This is the ultimate form of benchmarking, because no one is more like us than us. Second, we can compare the Perception scores we received against ratings for both Minimally-Acceptable service scores and Desired service scores. The second set of two scores create a “zone of tolerance” against which we can interpret users’ service quality assessment ratings of Perceived service quality. Third, we can interpret the scores we receive against the scores of similar, peer institutions. Some library service quality assessment protocols (e.g., LibQUAL+(R)) allow libraries to use any or all combinations of these three interpretation frameworks. The present paper will explain the use of a powerful benchmarking mechanism called norms tables. Norms tables can be created for protocols involving either large numbers of users or large numbers of libraries. The paper will explain both (a) how to create and (b) how to interpret norms scores as a form of benchmarking library service quality.	en
heal.abstract	Υπάρχουν τρεις βασικοί μηχανισμοί για την ερμηνεία των αποτελεσμάτων της αξιολόγησης των υπηρεσιών της βιβλιοθήκης. Πρώτα, μπορούμε να συγκρίνουμε τα αποτελέσματα ενός έτους με αυτά των περασμένων ετών. Αυτή είναι η τελική μορφή της συγκριτικής αξιολόγησης, επειδή κανείς δεν μας μοιάζει περισσότερο από εμάς τους ίδιους. Δεύτερον, μπορούμε να συγκρίνουμε τα αποτελέσματα πρόσληψης που λάβαμε με τα ελάχιστα αποδεκτά και τα επιθυμητά αποτελέσματα. Η δεύτερη ομάδα των διπλών αποτελεσμάτων δημιουργεί μια «ζώνη ανεκτικότητας» απέναντι στην οποία μπορούμε να συγκρίνουμε τις εκτιμήσεις αξιολόγησης των υπηρεσιών της βιβλιοθήκης από τους χρήστες σύμφωνα με την ποιότητα των υπηρεσιών που έχουν λάβει. Τρίτον, μπορούμε να ερμηνεύσουμε τα αποτελέσματα σε σύγκριση με παρόμοια ιδρύματα. Κάποια πρωτόκολλα αξιολόγησης της ποιότητας των υπηρεσιών (π.χ. LibQUAL+(R)) επιτρέπουν στις βιβλιοθήκες να χρησιμοποιούν κάποια ή και όλα τα συστήματα μετάφρασης. Η παρούσα εργασία θα εξηγήσει τη χρήση ενός ισχυρού μηχανισμού συγκριτικής αξιολόγησης που ονομάζεται norms tables. Τα norms tables μπορούν να δημιουργηθούν για πρωτόκολλα που αφορούν είτε σε μεγάλους αριθμούς χρηστών ή πολλές βιβλιοθήκες. Η εργασία θα εξηγήσει τόσο το α. «πώς θα δημιουργηθεί» όσο και β. το πώς θα ερμηνευτούν τα αποτελέσματα των προτύπων σαν ένας τύπος συγκριτικής αξιολόγησης για την ποιότητα υπηρεσιών των βιβλιοθηκών.	el
