heal.abstractΗ παρούσα μελέτη διερεύνησε τη σχέση μεταξύ της κοινωνικής στήριξης, της κατάθλιψης και της μετατραυματικής εξέλιξης των μητέρων που έχουν παιδιά με διάφορα είδη αναπηριών . Ιδιαίτερα, εξετάζεται αν διαφοροποιούνται οι μητέρες μαθητών με αναπηρία από τις μητέρες μαθητών χωρίς αναπηρία στις παραπάνω μεταβλητές. Επίσης, διερευνάται η επίδραση της κοινωνικής υποστήριξης μητέρων μαθητών μη τυπικής ανάπτυξης που βιώνουν συναισθηματικές διαταραχές όπως η κατάθλιψη. Το δείγμα αποτέλεσαν 82 μητέρες μαθητών μη τυπικώς αναπτυσσόμενων και 61 μητέρες μαθητών τυπικώς αναπτυσσόμενων που προέρχονται από αστικές και ημι-αστικές περιοχές της Ελλάδας. Ως εργαλεία συλλογής δεδομένων χρησιμοποιήθηκαν: The Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) (Zimet, Dahlem, Zimet & Farley, 1988), The Questionnaire on the Frequency of and Satisfaction with Social Support (QFSSS) (García Martín, Hombrados-Mendieta & Gómez-Jacinto, 2016), The Posttraumatic Growth Inventory (Tedeschi & Calhoun, 1996) και Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) (Beck, Ward, Mendelson, Mock & Erbaugh, 1961). Τα αποτελέσματα έδειξαν ότι οι μητέρες μαθητών με αναπηρία έχουν μεγαλύτερη κατάθλιψη και επηρεάζονται από το βαθμό σοβαρότητας της κατάστασης του παιδιού και την κοινωνική υποστήριξη ιδίως φίλων.el
heal.abstractThe present study investigated the relationship between social support, depression and post traumatic development of mothers who have children with different types of disabilities. In particular, it is examined whether the mothers of students with disabilities differ from the mothers of students without disabilities in the above variables. The effect of social support on mothers of non-formal development students experiencing emotional disorders such as depression is also explored. The sample consisted of 82 mothers of non-typically developing students and 61 mothers of typically developing students from urban and semi urban areas of Greece. The following measures were used: The Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) (Zimet, Dahlem, Zimet & Farley, 1988), The Questionnaire on the Frequency of and Satisfaction with Social Support (QFSSS) (García Martín, Hombrados-Mendieta & Gómez-Jacinto, 2016), The Posttraumatic Growth Inventory (Tedeschi & Calhoun, 1996) and Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) (Beck, Ward, Mendelson, Mock & Erbaugh, 1961).
